Lace weight
As one of the thinnest weights of yarn, lace weight produces a very fine, airy, & light fabric. Often used for shawls, wraps, or other more delicate projects. Lace weight yarns are usually knitted or crocheted on larger needles and hooks to create an open, loose gauge fabric and pattern. Always follow the gauge stated in your pattern.
Standard Gauge: 8.25-10 stitches per 1” on US 000-1 (1.5-2.25mm) needles (Please note that can vary based on personal tension and gauge & needle recomended in the pattern you are choosing.)
Yarn Weight Number Symbol: 0 or Extra Fine, also known as Number 10 crochet thread in Cotton/plant based threads.
