Beginner Knitting Class

Ready to learn knit? Join Lorraine or Becky as they walk you through all the fun of knitting your very own hat!! You will learn a cast on, Knit and purl stitches, and at the end, decreases to form the crown of your hat.

Materials needed:

1 skein of worsted weight yarn. We recommend Germantown or Malabrigo Rios. 

1 pair of US 8 or 5mm circular needles 16inch in length. Can be metal or wood, your preference

Materials are not included in the class but you can purchase before the class or bring your own if you have these in your stash.

Cost: $55

Tuesday Morning Dates: February 4th or March 4th, or April 8th. 10am-12noon

Friday Afternoon Dates: Feb 7th, 28th, or March 21st 4pm-6pm

CLASS REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION
1. If you would prefer to sign-up over the phone, call The Modern Skein at 936-436-3615 with credit card pay for a spot.

2. There is a $5 cancellation fee. A 5-day notice is required for cancellation without additional penalty. Cancellations made within 5 days of a class are subject to a 50% class charge. Cancellations made the day of class and no-shows are not refundable.

3. Classes may be cancelled in the event of insufficient sign-ups - if we/the teacher has to cancel a class you will be notified & will be given a full refund.

Returns - Unwound/unused yarn purchased in store is eligible for an exchange or store credit within 30 days. Trunk show items, brands we no longer stock  and sale items are non returnable. See Policy for more info.
